The main reason you would want to get Capivara is to keep your data in sync. The application allows you to sync files stored in local folders or remote locations. Before you perform the sync job, you can preview it –Capivara comes with preview support as well as support for numerous languages, for themes, for FTP and SFTP servers, and more.

Capivara is a Java-based application, meaning it works on any operating system that can run Java. You can use this handy sync tool on a computer powered by Windows, on a computer powered by Mac OS X, or on a computer powered by Linux. The choice is yours!

The application’s interface is divided into two panels – it’s a popular, user friendly dual-pane interface that you’ll quickly get used to. Above these two panels there are two buttons: Copy and Sync. And in the top left hand corner, where it’s usually located, there’s a File Menu.

From a functionality point of view, Capivara has the following features to offer: keep files in sync, preview sync jobs, there are several sync methods to choose from, there are also several sync choices to choose from, copy files from one location to another, uncover and move or delete duplicates.

Released under a GNU General Public License, Capivara is a free application.

Capivara makes it very easy to keep your files in sync. It also makes it very easy to get rid of duplicates.

Pros

Capivara works on multiple platforms; that’s because it is Java-based. You will quickly get accustomed to the Capivara interface. Use Capivara to sync files. FTP and SFT, multiple languages, and themes are supported. Capivara is a free application.

Cons

None that I could think of.
